Let your Barbies go Zip Lining!

Even if you never want to zipline, your toys might want to try. Plus, you get to clean up your room faster! Introducing, Kidz Zone's first homemade zipline!

What you will need:

2 small rings
a pulley
a long piece of rope
a plastic soda bottle
scissors
string
An adult's help

Step one:
Ask an adult to stick a ring horizontally into one of your walls. Ask them to put it where you can reach it.
Step two:
Ask them to stick a ring horizontally into the other wall, slightly below the first ring.
Step three:
Thread one end rope through the first ring, and the other end of the rope through the other ring. Tie the two ends together.
Step four:
Wedge the pulley in between the rope
Step five:
Ask an adult to cut the bottom off a plastic bottle. Decorate it however you want.
Step six:
Make two small holes on either side of the bottle, and thread the string through them.
Step seven:
Tie the string to the pulley.
Step eight:
And....  VoilĂ ! You've made your zipline! Move the bottle all the way to the top of the zipline, put your toys in, and let go! Watch your toys go zipping across the room!

How it Works:
A pulley is a simple machine that uses wheels and a rope to move a load. In this case your toys are the load. To make the pulley work, you need a force to move the load. In this case, the force is gravity itself! Put all these elements together, and you've got a zipline!
